Dave Meek (he/him)
Dave has been tattooing since 2007 in Tucson Arizona. He started his apprenticeship in 2005 at The Tattoo Shop in Tucson and has worked at and with some amazing tattooers all over the country. He is known for his love of Walt Disney history and the creation of the entertainment empire. Seriously, ask him about something about Walt and he will blow you away with the obscure things he knows.
He opened his first private tattoo studio in 2017 to focus on making quality tattoo designs and creating an amazing experience for his clients at the same time.
Fast forward to 2019 and to Daves newest shop Art and Sol Tattoo Gallery. The private studio inspired him to create a shop where up and coming tattooers could offer the same experience to their clients and give them the opportunity to focus on their tattooing without distraction from walk-in clientele. He wanted artists to remain focused on creating amazing tattoos, so he created a space that offers scheduling, marketing, client management, and disposable supplies for all who work at Art and Sol.
He also wanted a space to display local tucson artists. A space that allows artists to show work in a comfortable and relaxing environment. Art and Sol now hosts a new artist each and every month!
Dave is mostly known for his realistic Black and Grey tattooing, traditional tattooing and his integration of both of these styles in his Disney character work.
Daves hourly rate is $150/hr with a 2 hour minimum. All work is done by appointment and requires a constultation and deposit of $150. Small scale work is available however Dave stays booked out 2-3 months at a time.
